Sève is a student work from ECV Lille (France). This animated film was made by the Lololuni Team in which every second counts to make a film look better, smoother and fresher.

In an outerspace world, an alien receives an emergy call from an unknown planet. Responding, he finds himself in grave danger and has to run for his own life.

My work in this film had to do with the creation of a brand new typography, involving the creation of the whole alien language. I created the different interfaces the main character uses to explore the planet.

First thing's first, I had to create a new language.

This language had to be the one this alien species would use to communicate. Using a quill, I have created some letters that could be used to form words on an holographic screen in outer space.

Next, the designs I had to make were the ones used for the interractions between the alien and his digital eye thingy.

These designs were inspired by different creations from video games to animated films and short movies such as the animated short : The last bastion by Overwatch, the map and interface design of the video game : Fallout.
